(Las Vegas).- The World Series of Poker released its full schedule of live and online tournaments Thursday. The 54th annual WSOP returns to the Las Vegas Strip for the second straight year at the Horseshoe and Paris hotel and casinos from May 30 – July 18.

WSOP releases 2023 schedule in Las Vegas including main event updates

A record 95 bracelets will be awarded in the live tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $300 for the new Gladiators of Poker No-Limit Texas Hold ‘em event starting June 7 to the $250,000 Super High Roller NL Hold ‘em event on June 16. The Main Event No-Limit Texas Hold ‘em World Championship will begin July 3. The record-breaking tournament schedule will include 20 more online bracelet events between the merged WSOP.com network of New Jersey and Nevada. The segregated markets of Pennsylvania and Michigan will award seven bracelets.

More tournament tables (600+), satellites plus added live cash games and a new Hall of Fame Poker Room are all part of the continued growth of poker’s biggest event of the year in Las Vegas at the World Series of Poker.

“With the momentum generated from the WSOP’s debut on the Las Vegas Strip last year, we expect a record-breaking WSOP and World Championship at Paris and Horseshoe Las Vegas in 2023," said Ty Stewart, SVP & Executive Director of the WSOP. “If the Main Event is on your bucket list, this is the year to get to Vegas.”

The WSOP will continue to feature tentpole events each weekend, such as the “Monster Stack,” the “Millionaire Maker,” the Seniors Event and the Ladies Championship.

The first flagship event takes place May 31 with the $1,000 buy-in “Mystery Millions” No-limit Hold’em tournament, which features bounties ranging from $10,000 to $1 million for each knockout in addition to a $1 million guaranteed first prize.

Other notable tournaments include the “Colossus” on June 30, which is a $400 buy-in tournament and drew 13,565 entries in 2022. Two other new No-Limit Hold ‘em events are the $300 buy-in Gladiators of Poker (June 7) and the $600 buy-in Ultra Stack (July 11).

WSOP Main Event

Caesars Entertainment, the world’s largest casino and entertainment company and the owner of the land-based World Series of Poker, also has WSOP.com as its digital arm to offer players the best online and offline poker experiences. This year, WSOP.com offers numerous chances to qualify for the World Championship with 112 Main Event seats up for grabs from June 25 – July 8.

The 2023 ‘Main Event’ is the WSOP $10,000 buy-in No Limit Hold ‘em World Championship and runs from July 3 through July 17. There are four starting flights and players get in-the-money near the end of Day 3 on July 9.

"Every year is a little bit different, WSOP Vice President Jack Eiffel said in an interview with Poker News. We’ve been trying to keep the Main Event closer to the July 4 holiday, as it's a time when people can get off from work and it's when a lot of people take their vacations. So it makes a lot of sense to have the starting day around the holiday.

"Players have the four flights, plus you can still get in on either of the Day 2s on July 7 or 8 for two levels."

Last year’s WSOP Main Event drew 8,663 entrants - just short of the record 8,773 entries in 2006. Espen Jorstad became a poker world champion when he survived through the Main Event final table to win $10 million at the 2022 WSOP.

The WSOP event organizers are offering more ways to win your seat into the 2023 WSOP World Championship through ‘Main Event Mania’. US Poker provides details into the additional opportunities to qualify for the 2023 WSOP Main Event plus new events and promotions. That includes the WSOP’s first Global Qualification Weekend May 20-21 at live poker rooms on five continents.

Should the Main Event top the record entries of 8,773 set in 2006, the new “Main Event for Life” promotion will kick in. All players in the 2023 Main Event field will be entered into a drawing on July 8. One lucky poker player will be awarded a WSOP Main Event buy-in for the next 30 years.

Daily DeepStack tournaments also return this summer. The non-bracelet events feature large player and prize pools. The tournaments run daily from June 1 – July 17, with buy-ins ranging from $200 to $400 - providing players more ways to win and affordable tournament options running alongside the WSOP bracelet events.

Fans interested in tuning in to the WSOP coverage can follow select events broadcast on CBS Sports Network. Daily streaming will also be available on the subscription service PokerGo.

As the popularity of poker continues and the momentum builds for the 2023 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, poker’s biggest event is expected to surpass last year’s record-breaking total prize pool of $347.9 million from nearly 200,000 entrants representing more than 100 countries.

You can bet on it.
